Asla Green Solutions becomes a Certified B Corporation™ and the first boutique sustainable construction consultancy in Spain to earn the certification
B Corp Certification recognizes Asla Green Solutions’ commitment to creating a positive impact on people, the environment, and society. In its first certification, the company earned a score of 91.5 points, well above the 80-point minimum required to join the B Corp movement.
Asla Green Solutions has earned B Corp™ Certification, an international recognition that verifies a company meets rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
With this certification, Asla Green Solutions becomes the first boutique consultancy specializing in sustainable construction in Spain to join the B Corp community, a milestone that strengthens its positioning and its commitment to a way of doing business built on sustainability, positive impact, and creating value for all of its stakeholders.
Earning this certification is the result of a year of internal work in which the entire Asla Green Solutions team took an active part: identifying best practices, reviewing processes, pinpointing areas for improvement, and further integrating social, environmental, and governance criteria across the organization, an effort the company continues to lead internally through continuous improvement.
In this first certification, Asla achieved a score of 91.5 points, surpassing the 80-point minimum threshold required for B Corp Certification. The result reflects the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and, at the same time, marks a starting point for continuing to raise its impact standards.
How B Corp Certification assesses the whole company
B Corp Certification looks at an organization’s performance as a whole and assesses its impact across five key areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers.
The certification process requires passing a rigorous assessment and providing evidence that verifies the company’s practices in each of these areas. In addition, certified companies make a legal commitment to creating positive impact and to running their business with all of their stakeholders in mind.
For Asla Green Solutions, the process was also an opportunity to take an in-depth look at the way it works, review its processes, and consolidate the practices that help generate positive impact.
The outcome of this first assessment, a score of 91.5 points, is the product of a collective effort that involved the entire team over the past year.
